Psychological Services
WE'RE HERE TO HELP
Here at QubePsych, we have a team that has been purposefully recruited and trained to provide psychological services to people across their lifespan.
This includes children, adults, and older adults (including people who or neurodivergent and people with disability).
Psychology session can be delivered 1:1, with couples or with groups.
When appropriate and with consent, we collaborate with clients, GPs, teachers, families, and others involved in the person’s life. We believe strongly in using a collaborative and evidence-based approach to incorporate the skills and goals developed in Psychology sessions into a person’s everyday life. Therapy sessions can be provided in our Melbourne clinic rooms, by telehealth or in a participant’s home.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
At QubePsych, we understand that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are interconnected, and that changing one can influence the others.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, commonly known as CBT, is a therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviours to bring about positive change in how you feel.
It's evidence-based, meaning it has been extensively researched and proven effective for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and stress.
In CBT, you'll work collaboratively with your Psychologist to develop skills and strategies to cope with challenging situations, ultimately aiming to improve your overall well-being and quality of life.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, or DBT, is a specialised form of therapy designed to help individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce self-destructive behaviours.
Rooted in the principles of acceptance and change, DBT combines cognitive-behavioural techniques with mindfulness strategies. Through DBT, clients learn to balance opposing forces in their lives, finding harmony between acceptance and the desire for change.
The therapy involves both individual sessions and group skills training, where clients learn practical techniques in areas like emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.
Whether you're struggling with emotional instability, interpersonal difficulties, or simply seeking a more balanced life, DBT offers a comprehensive and supportive approach to fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
